Lonsdale House are pleased to deliver services under NDIS that are individualised to each person, our support is able to be delivered in a group ratio and under 1-1 support when required. We are driven to meet the goals of each person funded under NDIS; we are able to achieve this through our flexible delivery model.
Our activities provide a great opportunity to extend our clients capacity and core support needs in an environment that caters for an ever changing environment.
NDIS has allowed us to extend our hours of operation and truly capture the needs of the people we support; we are committed to delivering excellence in all that we do and promote the importance of Person Centred and Choice…..
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides support to people with disability, their families and carers. It is jointly governed and funded by the Australian and participating states and territory governments.
To be eligible to receive individualised supports under the NDIS a person must meet certain access requirements. These include that the person must:

live in an area where the NDIS is available
-
meet the residency requirements (be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or Protected Special Category Visa holder)
-
meet the disability or early intervention requirements and
-
be under 65 years of age when the access request is made.
Requests for access to NDIS individualised supports are made to the NDIA. Those found eligible are known as NDIS ‘participants’ and usually remain eligible for life.
